Dinard L has been Gestüt Ligges' main advertisement for breeding and sport for years. Dinard L's off-spring in sport such as Dow Jones/Christian Ahlmann, Der Lohmann/Toni Hassmann, Denver (dam by Ramiro's Son)/René Tebbel, Donna de Vita/Alexander Hufenstuhl, and the licensed former Bundeschampion of riding horses, Dinaro/Klaus Reinacker, a pair subsequently successful in international competitions, have won more than 600,000 Euro by 2005. This sum does not include the achievements of any off-spring ridden abroad such as Dublin V (dam by Rodney) who won team silver and individual bronze at the European Show Jumping Championships for young riders in Le Touquet/FRA under Wim Vos/NED, or Amica (dam by Rodney) who won the Grand Prix in New York/USA under Mario Deslauriers/CAN in 2002. In 2006 Dinard L was the sire of the Westphalian Champion of four year old jumpers, Dreister/Monika Achnepper. Twelve Dinard L sons have been licensed and 20 daughters have received State Premium.
Grandseigneur Dinard L's own performance record is most impressive: In 1988 he finished his performance test in Münster-Handorf with a total index of 132.58, putting him on 5th place. In the following years he won series of tests for young riding horses, dressage horses and jumpers as well as aptitude tests. In 1993 and 1994 he won bronze both years at the Bundeschampionat in classes for German jumpers after placing up front at the Bundeschampionat in the class for riding horses in 1992.
Dinard L comes from one of the strongest performing dam lines in Westphalian breeding. His dam, Verband Premium Paddy, was bred to different stallions with equal success: with Lord Caletto she produced Lagavulin, a licensed international jumper, and his full brother, Lord Pilot (advanced level jumper). With Der Clou she produced Dimanch who has won all the way up to St. Georges. Paddy is a full sister of the stallions Pit I and II and of Norbert Koof's top jumper, Prinzregent.
